Savanna Cespedes wins SoCal Athlete of the Week

Last week, Webb volleyball player Savanna Cespedes (‘22) was considered for the Orange County Register’s Southern California Girls Athlete of the Week. Savanna was one out of seven candidates, six of them volleyball players like herself, and one golf player. Beginning on Wednesday, October 31st, members of the sophomore class forwarded emails to STAS. The emails were rallying cries for Webb students vote for Savanna on the online poll. Everyone was able to vote multiple times, and Savanna’s support from Webb alone was reflected in the results. Savanna won with 2501 votes, carrying 51.45%. Her runner up only had 22.18%.
